Verse
Inside a basket on the waves,
small Moses floated free,
for God, the mighty One who saves,
was watching tenderly.
A wicked king may rage and roar,
but God is stronger still;
no mighty throne or palace door
can stop His perfect will.
Verse 2
In Bethlehem one quiet night
the Savior Christ was born;
the angels filled the sky with light
and sang until the morn.
No cradle soft or comfy bed,
just hay upon the floor;
a manger held the small King’s head —
the One whom we adore.
Verse 3
Through parted seas, with mighty hand,
God set His people free;
and Jesus, as the Father planned,
won freedom, too, for me.
For God keeps every promise made,
His every word comes true;
so do not fear, don’t be afraid,
for He can use you too!
Verse 4
Like Moses’ mother, brave and true,
like Mary, I will say:
“O Lord, I give my heart to You,
I’ll trust You and obey.”
Though I am small, my God is great,
He guides me all my days;
so early morn and evening late
I’ll sing my song of praise!
